Each year people watch the American Music Awards to find out whether their favorite musical artists get the recognition the fans believe they deserve. There’s a whole lot more to the AMAs, this year being no different. The most dramatic moment was when Jennifer Lopez, affectionately known as J. Lo – fell at the AMAs.

Don’t start worrying; J. Lo’s fall wasn’t a Steven Tyler/Spinal Tap epic one. She didn’t get injured, but when J. Lo falls at the AMAs, it’s kind of a big a deal. In case you’re wondering who actually won at the American Music Awards, here’s the rundown of the big ones. Michael Jackson won four awards posthumously, winning Favorite Male Artist in pop/rock, and also for soul/rhythm and blues. His “Number Ones” compilation got both awards in those categories, as well.

The Black Eyed Peas won Favorite Band, Duo or Group in both of those categories. Rascal Flatts took that title in the country category.
